The Beautiful Truth |
Poetry Competition
| Ideal for 11-18

The Beautiful Truth Video

A poetry competition to inspire and engage 11-18 year-olds as they write about what matters to them.

Empower your students with this inspiring poetry competition

The Beautiful Truth will ignite a passion for poetry in your students, helping them discover the freedom of creative expression. This engaging activity will also give them a fresh appreciation for the power of words.

Start by watching the inspiring video, which sets the stage for an exciting journey into poetry writing. Then, download the lesson plan and accompanying PowerPoint presentation - everything you need to get started is at your fingertips. We’ve done the planning so you can focus on what matters most: teaching!

The resources are designed to empower students of all abilities to become confident poets. With the freedom to write poems on any theme and in any style, creativity knows no bounds. You can also tie poetry into other subjects, such as PSHE, by encouraging students to write about societal or personal issues.
